Is RightFit the contractor?＋

No. RightFit helps organise project enquiries and arrange controlled introductions to potentially suitable independent contractors. The contractor you appoint is responsible for inspecting, quoting for, and carrying out the work.

Does it cost homeowners anything to submit a project?＋

There is currently no charge for homeowners to submit a standard project enquiry or receive contractor introductions through RightFit.

How does RightFit make money?＋

RightFit is funded by participating contractors. Contractors may pay to join the network, receive project opportunities, or obtain priority access. Commercial participation may affect the order in which otherwise suitable contractors are contacted, but it does not guarantee an introduction or replace the project-fit assessment.

Is RightFit a directory or lead broadcast service?＋

No. We do not simply display a list and leave you to contact businesses yourself, and the service is not designed to send every enquiry to a long list. We review the project information and manage a small number of controlled contractor contacts.

Who enters into the contract for the work?＋

Any quotation, appointment, payment, or contract for the work is agreed directly between you and the independent contractor you choose. RightFit is not a party to that contract.

Who receives my details?＋

Relevant project and contact information is shared with selected contractors where necessary to provide the matching and introduction service. RightFit does not distribute your details indiscriminately to a large contractor list.

How many contractors receive my brief?＋

We do not broadcast to a long list. Your project is intended to go only to a small number of suitable contractors, typically up to three.

How are contractors selected?＋

We look at service fit, area relevance, responsiveness, and suitability for the job type rather than just broad availability.

Are contractors vetted before they receive work?＋

That is the intended standard. Contractors should be checked for relevant fit, professionalism, and whether they genuinely suit the type of project being described.

What does suitable mean here?＋

Suitable means more than being nearby. It includes whether the contractor handles the right kind of work, operates in the area, responds reliably, and looks commercially sensible for the specific brief.

No. The aim is better fit and lower risk, not simply the lowest price.

Do you sell my details to lots of contractors?＋

No. The model is built around controlled introductions rather than broad lead resale. The goal is to keep the customer experience tighter and more deliberate.

We provide realistic guidance and explain cost drivers, but exact pricing depends on site-specific scope, constraints, drainage, access, and finish expectations.

What usually changes the price most?＋

Prep, excavation depth, waste removal, edging, drainage changes, and site access usually move the number more than the surface finish alone.

Will planning or drainage rules affect my project?＋

Sometimes. Surface permeability, crossovers, and front-garden changes can all matter depending on the property and area.
